Semana Nautica Reg Richardson Masters Meet....Another Great Success!!

To all of the SBSC coaches, families, and volunteer guests...THANK YOU! Thank You,  for a wonderful Semana Nautica 2010 season.  There were so many compliments heard all weekend long on the wonderful time all of our visiting teams were having.  Thank you to the hard working set-up and clean-up crews, the admin crew, announcers, check-in and awards crew, the timing, marshall, hospitality and snack bar.   When we all work together there are no limits to our teams success now and for the future!  Enjoy your summer and we look forward to making our October and December hosted meets even better!!

What's the Best Way to Meet Your Annual Fundraising???

Have a special skill set? Have non-profit Board experience? Interested in serving your club?

The SBSC Board of Directors is looking to recruit new Board Members for open positions this fall. If you have interest in serving please complete the attached questionnaire and submit it to the swim office by September 1, 2010. Nominations and elections will take place at the Board’s annual administrative meeting in early September 2010. If you have any questions about the Board please contact Dave Adornetto at president@sbswim.net or Julie Williams at vp@sbswim.net. Thank you for your interest! 2009/2010 Swim Year Financial Assistance Policy Updated

All families receiving SBSC sponsored financial assistance must reapply annually every September. The new policy/guidelines and application form are linked above.

Semana Nautica....Another Great Success

SBSC Parents Get Handbook!!

The SBSC handbook has been updated and made available via .pdf linked on the left of this page. It would be advisable not to print the present version as there will be many adjustments to it as members find information either lacking or incorrect in some areas. It was best in the teams opinion to make this version available as a starting point. The handbook is meant to be a basic reference for new families to gain some valuable background knowledge about not only the team, but the sport of swimming as well. A new, updated version will be available at the end of each month beginning in May and it should be a great reference tool for all of our families by the end of the summer. If, after having had a chance to look through the handbook, you see that something is missing or inaccurate, please take the time to submit a suggestion to: HANDBOOK

All team photos and video has been collected for the year. The video is now in production. Thank you for your contributions to the project.

YOU CAN HELP AND MAY NOT EVEN KNOW IT!

One of the Board’s goals this year is to add corporate sponsors. We cannot do this without your help. The best businesses to approach are those at which you work, know the owner/manager, and/or are a regular customer.

Please contact fundraising@sbswim.net with your suggestions. We will ask you to make the ‘introduction’, and then we will approach your contact with the details about how easy and rewarding it is to sponsor SBSC. Relationships that lead to Corporate Sponsorships will fulfill your family’s annual fundraising obligation! Individuals can also sign on as sponsors. All donations are tax deductible.


 

WHAT ABOUT SERVING ON A COMMITTEE??

Did you know we have committees you could serve on that would give you a voice in the club’s future? We need you to help take SBSC to the next level. Serving on a committee is a good way to meet other parents and foster team spirit. The meetings are infrequent and tailored to the schedule of busy swim parents. Please consider serving on one of these committees: Fundraising, Meets, Publicity, Corporate Sponsorship, and/or New Family Hospitality. Don’t be shy – let us know how we can put your talents to use.
